My story is a bit long, well, around March 23, 2019, I traveled to my hometown in the north. On the way, I called my fiancée who lives with her parents back in Africa and asked if we could stay in a hotel when I arrived in her city so I could continue my journey to my hometown the next day to meet with my family.
She told me she couldn’t spend the evening with me because her parents wouldn’t approve since she had to cook the next day. We agreed that when I arrived in her city, I would pick her up and drop her off in the evening.
When I arrived in her city, I went straight to her house and with her parents’ permission, took her out, her parents know me. We went to a nice hotel where I booked for a room.
We relaxed over drinks and food, discussing our future marriage. I wanted the wedding to be in December, but she wanted it sooner. We spent a good time together, having not seen each other for a very long time. After a few hours, she said she had to leave because her parents were waiting.
I told her I’d drop her off and then head to the village. She asked if I’d paid for the accommodation, I said yes but we should return the key since I couldn’t sleep alone in the room and could still reach the village early if I left now.
As a “smart girl” she told me that if the hotel staff discovered I was leaving, they’d simply put someone else in the room and pocket the money. I said yeah, good for them, and it isn’t my business anymore.
As we were about to leave, I wanted to return the key, but she suggested I give it to her to leave in the room and lock the door so they wouldn’t know we weren’t coming back. I asked why she didn’t want the staff to benefit, she said they didn’t treat us well, acting like they were superior and I did exactly what she suggested.
Though I didn’t see anything wrong with the staff benefiting, I just wanted to please her. So, I locked the door, and we left. I dropped her off in her street and headed to the village.
On the way, I encountered heavy traffic. After an hour or two. I remembered I could just go back to the hotel. I was so happy and proud of my fiance’s smart move, I returned to the hotel to spend the night, planning to continue my journey early the next morning to avoid traffic.
When I arrived, I went to the front desk, saying I’d locked my keys in the room and needed a duplicate. After verification, the staff gave me a duplicate key.
However, when I tried to open the door, I found it was locked. I went back to the front desk to complain, and to my surprise, they said they hadn’t given the room to anyone.
They called security to accompany us to the room to investigate. When we arrived, the receptionist knocked, and a young boy in his underwear slightly opened the door, asking what was going on. The receptionist asked how he got the room, and he produced the receipt with my name.
At that moment, I realized what was happening. I pushed the door open and entered, but no one was in the room. I tried to open the bathroom door, finding it locked from the inside. After several knocks, the person behind the door finally opened it, revealing my fiancée (now ex-fiancée).
I was shocked and furious, wanting to slap her. She just cried, unable to speak. what could she say?
She was caught red-handed. I called her mother that evening to inform her, and she was equally shocked, saying she had spoken to her daughter, who claimed she was spending the night with me to prepare for our wedding.
Some girls actually have “fìsh brains” This experience taught me a lesson never to trust womén ever again in my life.
From that day, I adopted my new motto which is “trust no woman and fear every womân. I’m very single, proud and Happy. I’ll rather just have them for pleasure than marriage”
