The disturbing student tased school bus incident in Fulton County has sparked outrage after a viral video surfaced online. A high school senior has now spoken publicly about what he described as an unprovoked assault by officers.

Langston High School student Lanier Johnson-Hunt appeared at a press conference alongside his mother and legal team. The event followed footage showing officers tasing him repeatedly on a school bus.

According to his attorneys, the incident occurred on December 18 while Johnson-Hunt was heading home after school.

Student Tased School Bus After Dispute With Officers

Attorneys said officers claimed Johnson-Hunt boarded the wrong bus. However, Johnson-Hunt insisted he was on the correct route.

He said other students also confirmed his claim. Despite this, officers allegedly escalated the situation.

Civil rights attorney Harry Daniels said officers forcefully removed the teen from his seat. He said Johnson-Hunt posed no threat.

“You do not use excessive force against a child,” Daniels said during the briefing.

Student Tased School Bus Despite Witness Support

Johnson-Hunt explained that students spoke up for him before officers intervened. He also told police he needed to get home quickly.

He said he planned to care for his six-year-old autistic brother. Still, officers reportedly ignored the explanation.

Attorney Gerald Griggs described the incident as unnecessary. He said the teen tried to do the right thing.

Student Tased School Bus Leaves Visible Injuries

Daniels displayed burn marks on Johnson-Hunt’s neck and chest during the press conference. He said a taser caused the injuries.

According to the attorneys, an officer also grabbed Johnson-Hunt by the neck. The teen described feeling terrified.

“I felt scared when the officers boarded the bus,” Johnson-Hunt said.

Student Tased School Bus Incident Contradicts Official Claims

Johnson-Hunt’s mother said school officials initially misled her. Administrators allegedly claimed her son tried to fight officers.

She said those claims were false. According to her, police never asked her son for identification.

She added that administrators previously confirmed he rode the correct bus.

Student Tased School Bus Ends With Arrest, Suspension

After the incident, officers handcuffed Johnson-Hunt. He said an officer slapped him and attempted to tase him again.

EMS later suggested hospital evaluation. However, police reportedly took him to a station instead.

Johnson-Hunt received a citation and a 10-day school suspension. His mother said she could not locate him for four hours.

The student tased school bus case has reignited calls for police accountability. Advocates now demand an independent investigation.
