Suspected Fulani herdsmen invade Ebonyi community burning properties, many feared dead

Suspected Fulani herdsmen allegedly invaded three communities in Íshíelu local government area of Ebonyi state killing unspecified numbers of people and burning many properties.

The affected communities are Egedege, Obegu and Amazu communities.

A source from the area said herdsmen invaded the three communities and killed many persons.

Many others sustained various degrees of injuries while vehicles and motorcycles were burnt.

The attackers, it was further learnt, also looted some properties from the area.

A priest of the Methodist church, whose name could not be ascertained, was among those killed.

Chairman of the Local Government, Sunday Eze confirmed the incident.

The spokesman of the Police Command, Liveth Idaho also confirmed the attack. (The Nation)
