Peter Obi Makinde meeting Ibadan, Nigeria — Former presidential candidate Peter Obi met Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde on Tuesday in a closed-door meeting at the Governor’s Office in Ibadan.

The meeting lasted about two hours. It has sparked fresh political discussions across Nigeria ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“We want a Nigeria where people succeed through hard work, not connections,” he added.
